I am really excited to introduce you to The Movement Podcast!
A series of interviews and discussions for people interested in all things Movement, Theatre and Creative Relationships. It’s a new space for us to share and discuss our practice as movement artists, and to shed light on the many varying processes behind making work.
The podcast will be recorded at The Old Vic Theatre, The Old Vic Workrooms and PARK Theatre, and aims to engage guests in an informal chat/interview to learn about their route into the industry.
Alongside this we will open up a different discussion point every week as a way of sharing knowledge with our listeners, engaging current practitioners to interrogate their own practice, and extend the hand to aspiring Movement Directors and Choreographers by creating a platform to celebrate and promote emerging movement talent.
As well as being a useful tool for current working practitioners, this podcast hopes to serve as a connection point for many aspiring movement artists living regionally and internationally that aren’t in direct contact with London-based movement training, community events and other similar opportunities.
So... I would love to take this opportunity to invite you on board as a guest within the first series!
If this is something you are interested in, could you please RSVP with your name, contact details, potential Saturdays that might be good for you to record within May/June/July/Aug, and any particular aspect or practice that you are interested in discussing? (eg. Movement in Film, Somatic Practices, or even Balancing Movement and Parenthood).
The recording itself would take around 1-2 hours overall, but as this podcast is completely unfunded, we sadly cannot offer any fee (but we WILL have a hearty supply of biscuits!).
